10 Weeks Project
City of Atlanta
The Downtown Atlanta Development Group has tasked us with redesigning the information kiosk at Atlanta’s busiest intersection. The redesign aims to create a modern, engaging, and durable solution that embodies the spirit of Atlanta, influences visitor perceptions, and fosters economic growth as the city prepares for the upcoming World Cup.
My Contributions
Screensaver

Unlike the typical process where motion design is added after visuals are finalized, our biggest challenge was thinking through motion from the very beginning while research, branding, and UX design were still in progress. I proposed starting with the kiosk's screen saver, which could independently express the city's identity while aligning with ADID's visual direction. Our team designed animated screen savers that reflect both the ADID brand and the character of Atlanta's neighborhoods, offering a sense of place even before users interact with the screen.

Logo Animation
As a branding motion designer, I also created ADID's logo animation by designing landscapes inspired by each district's unique features. Based on research centered around downtown Atlanta, I explored the surrounding neighborhoods, identified each area's distinct characteristics and symbolic colors, and translated those insights into a unified visual identity. The final animation weaves together these landscapes to form a cohesive narrative that reflects both the diversity and interconnectedness of Atlanta's downtown communities.
