The average housing price per square foot in the U.S. is around $226 as of mid-2025.
One square foot is roughly the size of a pair of shoes, the smallest unit that can still be considered a “home.”
From this idea, we designed a collection of shoes that parody the idea of home ownership and reinterpret real-estate language through product design.
The project explores themes of affordability, ownership, and the absurdity of modern housing culture in a playful, satirical way.
